Club History

The club was formed in the early eighties by three riders, they started meeting in the Elk Inn in Dundonald where the road divides to Comber and Newtownards,it was the Tram and Trollybus terminus, hence the name of the Club was hatched, The End Of The Lines. Through various Charity bike rideouts and other events and mentions in the local newspapers the membership started to increase.

The Elk Inn provided a run down outhouse as a clubhouse and the members spruced it up a bit by whitewashing the walls, installing an insulated roof, some carpet, table and chairs, the Club was set to go.

Gradually the membership dwindled, maybe guys getting married, joining the Forces or just moving to another area, the club ceased to be. The Club was reformed again in 2004 by a few of the original members, meeting again in the Elk Inn,the membership swelled, they then moved to The Hardford Inn in Newtownards and meet there every two weeks on a Monday night.
